Notes & Reviews:

"I had never heard of Johann Philipp Krieger (1649-1725) before I got this, so I thought, "Ho hum. Here we go with another disc of bland baroque music." Boy was I wrong! Krieger may be no Bach or Biber, but his music is very lovely and has wonderfully imaginative touches... Parnassi Musici play on instruments in period setup and design. There are two violins, viola da gamba, archlute, organ, and harpsichord. Their playing is spirited, stylish, and technically adroit." -American Record Guide
