Album Summary
Conductor Ensemble ComposerNotes & Reviews:
Alessandro Solbiati (b. 1936) is one of Italy's leading modern composers of orchestral music, known for pursuing what he calls "a sense of tradition," i.e., infusing music with "what has always been true, alive, and common throughout the history of composition"-the opposite, says Solbiati, of "neoclassicism," or mere academicism. This is the fourth Stradivarius release featuring Italy's leading symphony orchestra, the National Orchestra of Italian Radio and Television.
