Ira Braus is Associate Professor of Music History at The Hartt School. A distinguished musicologist, he is also a respected vocal accompanist and solo pianist specializing in the German Romantics. An alumnus of Tanglewood Music Center, he holds a Ph.D. in musicology from Harvard, with additional degrees from SUNY Stony Brook and Oberlin.
