Notes & Reviews:

Although remaining true to his Russian heritage, Serge Koussevitzky was renowned for his championing and commissioning of new American music. Yet he also had an affinity for British composers (having given the American premiere of Walton's Belshazzar's Feast in 1932). We now have this wonderful opportunity to hear the maestro's striking interpretation of Vaughn-Williams' Symphony No. 5.
