Notes & Reviews:
The 1936 photo of Jacques Thibaut and Emanuel Feuermann, taken in Tokyo and featured on the CD book, was the inspiration for this disc. Both artists were frequent visitors to the Japanese capital before World War II. Although not performing together on this disc, these two wonderful artists are memorialized here through some of their greatest recorded performances.
