A fine selection of 17th-century musical entertainment from the North German School, the most famous of whom was Dieterich Buxtehude. Issued in observance of the tercentenary of Buxtehude’s death in 1707. Contemporary copies of original period instruments are used. Caecilia-Concert is a versatile international ensemble specializing in performance and research of seventeenth-century music for instruments and voices.
