Notes & Reviews:

This organ reflects the rich cultural atmosphere of the Valtellina, the bridge between Northern Europe and Mediterranean area. Various cultures met and mingled in this region. The organ's components date all the way back to 1518, when Marco Antonio Bizarri built it. The full timbre of his diapason and the refinement evident in late 16th century stops offer ideal conditions for a program combining music from Northern Italy and from Southern Germany.
