Notes & Reviews:

Leopold Mozart had the highest praise for the Swiss harpsichord by the keyboard instrument builder Burkat Schudi, terming it an instrument that "men of the keyboard guild" had long desired when his Wolferl was allowed to play it in London in 1765. The model of almost the same design discovered by Rampe in Shudi's native canton of Glarus has a machine stop pedal for reregistration while playing an a Venetian swell for smooth dynamics.
