The organ at St. Thomas on Fifth Avenue, New York City, is unique. This is Aeolian Skinner's magnum opus in the French style, an attempt to create the French cathedral sound here in the New World. As such, it is definitive in its style. Fittingly , this recording brings together three of the most distinctive and creative composers of French organ music. Each represents a different period of composition. These works are well crafted, unique and definitive in style, statement and form. All of this is brought together by the interpretive skill and technical prowess of Jeremy Bruns.
