Notes & Reviews:

Ten years ago Danacord released the complete recordings of the famed Danish tenor Aksel Schoitz. This production was a labor of love made possible through the generous help of Danish foundations, and the individual discs went on to win international awards and the acclaim of critics and lovers of historical recordings and Schiotz in particular. The volumes eventually sold out and became collectors' items. As executive producer of Danacord, Jesper Buhl, states "We were never in doubt that the original ten volumes had to be reissued in their original form."
