Album Summary
Notes & Reviews:
Istvan Kertesz was another conductor with an outstanding future who died prematurely while on holiday. The short Locke opened the Royal Festival Hall program, which also contained the Brahms 'Symphony No. 2' on February 15th, 1966. It is a new addition to Kertesz's discography as is the Schumann 'Symphony No.1'. The live recording here in London's Royal Festival Hall is exceptionally exciting and well recorded in stereo.
