Antonin Dvorak, together with Smetana and Janacek, is considered the most important nationalist composer of what is now known as the Czech republic. His music not just incorporates folk music but also influences of the Classical composers and others, for instance of his close friend Brahms. In his symphonies, however, he let the classical influence prevail and found other outlets for his national aspirations.
