Notes & Reviews:
Collector's Edition with Two CD set. Come away with Andre Rieu to a land of fairies, elves, princesses and knights and live happily ever after. Andre Rieu In Wonderland features enchanting melodies recorded at Efteling (in the Netherland) one of the world's most beautiful fairytale theme parks. Performed by Andre Rieu, his orchestra and choir and some fantastic soloists from the Ballet of the Vienna State Opera, The International Dance Theatre, and the Berlin Folk Music Sparrows. The first Andre Rieu special where grandparents and grandchildren can share this magical event together.
Notes & Reviews:Recording information: Efteling Amusement Park, The Netherlands.
"The Waltz King of Europe" has been turning out a steady stream of albums since the mid 1990s, and 2007's IN WONDERLAND, a concert recording, shows Andre Rieu's lasting charm. Accompanied by the Johann Strauss Orchestra and his 1667 Stradavarius, Rieu takes listeners into the world of fairy tales and myth, performing Strauss's "Thus Spake Zarathustra," Rodgers' "Cinderella Waltz," and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from THE WIZARD OF OZ. IN WONDERLAND appeared as a highly theatrical concert (complete with costumed characters) on public television, so fans of that program will certainly want to pick this up.
