This commemorative set documents Pavarotti's life story in both words and music. Presented in superb, high quality packaging including a 70 page illustrated booklet of Pavarotti's life story, a complete 82 page full color illustrated Pavarotti discography and two principal CDs as well as two bonus CDs. James Jolly's essay 'A Tenor for our Times' is presented alongside notes on each of the songs and arias, all in three languages (English, French, German). Of the CDs, containing many of his outstanding and most-loved recordings, the first is entitled 'The Operas', the second 'Sacred Arias and Neapolitan Songs', while the two bonus CDs contain "Pavarotti in conversation": The Great Tenor in his own words.
