British-born Australian pianist Trevor Barnard gives a program encompassing the evolution of the piano repertoire (274 years) and shows the wide-ranging diversity of the different styles that have occurred during this lengthy period. The recording is taken from a World Record Club LP released in 1978 with additional tracks recorded in 2001. Barnard has been a faculty member of the New England Conservatory and at Melbourne State College and the University of Melbourne.
