Remarks:

Born from the creative ferment around the Papal chapel in Avignon, the Missa Tournai is undoubtedly the oldest polyphonic mass to have survived. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, it has the breadth and majesty of the greatest Gothic architecture. The De Caelis ensemble integrates the Mass into the Office as celebrated in a convent of nuns.
