Hiromi Okada has put together a contrasting and compelling program of music for piano by French composer Henri Dutilleux and Japanese composer Akio Yashiro. Okada studied at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo where he graduated with the highest honors. His Wigmore Hall debut in 1985 was given to critical acclaim. He tours extensively throughout Japan and Europe and has appeared with the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English Chamber Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra, among many others.
