Notes & Reviews:

This recording is of representative music for the adjoining but widely contrasted Christian seasons of Passiontide and Easter. The first half is concerned with the drama of the final stages of Christ's earthly life while the well-known traditional Dutch carol establishes the joy of Easter and the resurrection.
