Notes & Reviews:

Jacob Gade (1879-1963) - Danish composer and violinist - is world famous as the composer of 'Jalousie, Tango Tsigane'. But besides this celebrated concert piece, Gade left us a large number of melodious orchestral works in the popular music genres of his day, and composed several symphonic suites. This re-issue of Odense Symphony Orchestra's highly acclaimed Jacob Gade collection fully displays the composer's sense of colourful orchestration and musical storytelling at its very best.
