Jascha Heifetz was a Jewish Lithuanianborn American violin virtuoso who first performed the Mendelssohn concerto at age six. He quickly rose to the heights of fame in the US and abroad, building up a massive, dedicated following and making numerous benchmark recordings of the violin repertoire. This 6-CD set offers a perfect overview of his career and accomplishments.
