Notes & Reviews:

"Canty's singing is so transparent and tonally rich that boredom never rears its ugly head; nevertheless, the group wisely incorporates some sparse accompaniment provided by harper William Taylor playing a wire-strung Clarsach. Even though the source material is diverse, the disc maintains a great sense of unity and feels all of a piece for its 78 minutes, even though it is made up of 37 different tracks. While this elegant and devotional music may not be the proper accompaniment to tossing back a pint on St. Patrick's Day, it is terrific in just about every other sense and is easily recommendable." -All Music Guide
