Notes & Reviews:
Jerwood Series 4 includes music by William Attwood, Joanna Bailie and Richard Casuton. 'Phoenix', commissioned for the London Sinfonietta by Henry Greenfield, won Richard Causton the coveted chamberscale composition prize at the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards 2007. It is paired with 'Sleep' for solo flute, one of the last recordings made by the London Sinfonietta's principal flautist Sebasitan Bell before his death in September 2007.
