Remarks:

Ricardo Castro is the first South American pianist to win the prestigious Leeds International Piano Competition. His concerts lead him to Vienna, Hamburg, Toronto, Zurich, Munich, London, Stockholm, Madrid, and Paris, and he performs with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in Japan and in England with Sir Simon Rattle, the English Chamber Orchestra, the BBC London Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. He started to play the piano at the age of three and studied with Esther Cardoso in Brazil before entering Maria Tipo's class at the Geneva Conservatory. Recently, he has been working with Dominique Merlet in Paris.
