Bartók: Works for Solo Piano Vol 3 - For Children / Zoltan Kocsis

Remarks:

Zoltan Kodaly convincingly emphasizes that Bartok "addresses children like fellow beings but at the same time he does it in a manner that they can understand: he is speaking their own language." Kodaly was also right in assuming that the pedagogical value of the pieces, exactly because of their unusual and novel features, makes them "important for the children of other countries, too."
