Notes & Reviews:

During the eighteenth century the horn was a number-one Bohemian domain. It is thus not surprising that Anton Rosetti also composed numerous horn concertos, probably for Joseph Nagel and Franz Zwierzina, the two best horn virtuosos of the Wallerstein court ensemble. After CPO's release of some of Rosetti's double horn concertos some time ago, they now present another double horn concerto and two solo horn concertos by this composer.

"Sarah Willis and Klaus Wallendorf have now completed their recordings of all of Rosetti's concertos for two horns. They are with the Berlin Philharmonic and play superbly. Moseus leads fine support, and the recording is top notch. This - and the other CPO recordings by these two players - are well worth having, and the notes are also very detailed and well written." -American Record Guide

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
The readings are excellent. Wallendorf has a compact tone quality and impressive high register. Willis has a full tone and is even more impressive in the low. I have never heard such robust yet agile low-horn playing.
