Notes & Reviews:

The fact that Maurice Ohana was one of the very greatest composers of the 20th century seems to remain one of the best guarded secrets of our musical life. The fashionable circles of the so called "new music" simply ignored him, he is totally absent from the specialized festivals and concert series, and in many quarters even his name is unknown. But in fact, next to Xenakis and Scelsi (though fundamentally different from either), he belongs to the towering figures of that "alternative" or "parallel" avant-garde which is going to dominate the future.
