Notes & Reviews:
Since she was awarded five top prizes in May 2007 from the Montreal International Musical Competition, including the First Grand Prize, the Poulenc French Song Award as well as the People's Choice Award, Marianne Fiset has been hailed by critics and audience alike. In 2008, she received the "New artist of the year" Opus Prize and was named Young Soloist 2008 by the Public Francophone Radios (Radio France, Radio Suisse-Romande, RTBF Belgique and Radio-Canada). In the last few years, Marianne Fiset has been heard in numerous productions of the Opera de Montreal as well as at the Opera de Quebec. She was recently awarded the title "Revelation Radio-Canada Musique 2008-2009". As part of this recognition and with the collaboration of the Societe Radio-Canada, an orchestra was set up to accompany Marianne Fiset on this second recording for the Analekta label.
