The works by Friedrich Goldmann presented on this CD span a period of over 40 years - from the two Intermezzos for piano of 1963 by way of piano works from the '70s and '80s to the 2006 ensemble piece "Line/Splitter 2." For all the individualism of each piece, the common ground of their compositional technique is clearly evident.
