Notes & Reviews:

Bernard Naylor (1907-1986) studied at the Royal College of Music with Holst, Ireland and Vaughan Williams and was an organ scholar of Exeter College, Oxford. He spent 20 years after graduation between Canada and England, conducting and teaching at Oxford. In 1959 he permanently settled in Canada and devoted himself to composition. His music is firmly set in the English choral tradition and most of his works are settings of religious or metaphysical texts.
