Soprano Measha Brueggergosman releases her second solo disc on Deutsche Grammophon with this far-ranging recital devoted to the themes of night and dreams. "We wanted something that was languid, sexy, romantic, different," says Measha. "Also, it's repertoire that gives me the chance to really let go." This recital, which embraces diversity in the name of the complete experience, can be summed up as, "good singing, atmosphere, the exotic and the palette cleansers," just as if Measha were creating the perfect meal for her listeners. The program includes songs by Debussy, R. Strauss, Brahms, Liszt, Duparc, Faure, Montsalvatge, Schubert, Poulenc, Hime, Hahn, Chausson, de Falla, Wolf, Mozart and Warlock.
