- Stefan Vladar (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
With this recording Preiser continues its series with the internationally acclaimed pianist Stefan Vladar, the youngest performer ever to win the International Beethoven Competition.
I don't know Vladar's playing in general but am thoroughly impressed with his Goldbergs...He takes all the repeats and projects the contrapuntal lines perfectly...Unlike many pianists, Vladar has a harpsichordist's sensibility with articulation and accordingly presents a real continuum between completely legato and completely staccato...He's not afraid to add a little rubato, a little hesitation, to make the phrase expressive."-American Record GuideNotes & Reviews:
