With pieces all composed or arranged for the recorder between 1683 and 1720, The Business of Angels offers a sonic snapshot of folk-influenced and art music by a wide range of English-born and immigrant composers who worked for the theatres, royal court and churches of London. Though some of them certainly aren't household names today, their music is no less charming - and this glimpse of their music is designed to delight.
