Notes & Reviews:
The ensemble L’Art du Bois presents an abundance of musical treasures from the most varied composers of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, all of whom worked in England. The instrumental pieces collected here offer an extensive panorama of musically connected effects as well as a colorful picture of the diverse musical life in Great Britain during the Renaissance and the Baroque. L’Art du Bois, founded in 2004, performs music from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as the Baroque era. At the Musica Antiqua competition in Bruges in 2009, L’Art du Bois was awarded the audience prize and the second prize of the jury.
