Featured on this CD as both composer and conductor, Beat Furrer was born in 1954 in Schaffhausen [Switzerland] and studied composition and conducting in Vienna with Roman Haubenstock-Ramati and Otmar Suitner respectively. Today he is not only Artistic Director of Klangforum Wien but also a Professor of Composition in Graz, Austria.
