Until a few years ago the music of Croatian composer Dora Pejacevic was regarded with complete indifference, even in her native country. Her life had been short, and the memory of her work had hardly lasted any longer: she died at age 38 in Munich, immediately following the birth of her first child. Dora bequeathed 57 finished compositions to posterity, and CPO will dedicate a comprehensive edition to her. This edition begins with her principal symphonic works.
