For this recording, the Wiener Mozart Trio has adopted the original version as it exists in the autograph and in critical publications, thus being able to offer the interested public a high-quality recording of the work as it was intended by the composer. Schubert's publisher had asked for significant abridgements at the time of publication and that truncated version has been the one in use.
