This is a recording comprised of Danish romances with an international perspective. The musical style is fundamentally Danish, although 19th century Danish composers sought inspiration from abroad for their choice of texts. Tenor Erik Hansen is a member of Den Jyske Opera and has achieved great success in leading roles in chorale concerts and scenic productions.
