Notes & Reviews:
Out of the chaos of the 1918/1919 November revolution there emerged the "Novembergruppe," a group of the best-known artists' associations of the Weimar Republic comprising well-known artists including top-ranking composers and pianists. This CD is dedicated to the foremost personalities in this group. Berlin-based pianist Mathew Rubenstein has delivered some remarkable detective work here, bringing the music of an almost forgotten generation of Berlin musicians to our ears for the first time in 80 years.
