Notes & Reviews:

In France, the Reformation gave rise to a great surge in creative activity. During this religious renewal, the 150 psalms of David were set to music. The music's force of conviction, dynamic character, and extraordinary vigor show incredible vitality but also hint at the threat of persecution hanging over the heads of these early communities. After graduating from the Geneva Conservatoire, where he studied organ with Pierre Segond, Daniel Meylan completed extensive research on Baroque music technique and symbolism.
