Barry Wordsworth is one of Britain's most popular conductors. Regarded as one of the world's leading ballet conductors, he has held the post of Music Director of the Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet as well as Principal Conductor of the BBC Orchestra (1989 - 2006) and the Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra (1989 - present). He regularly works with the major London orchestras, and is a regular guest conductor of the regional orchestras in the UK.
