The fifth installment of the Bruckner cycle with Herbert Blomstedt and the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra contains the original version from 1873, which has been somewhat rarely performed. The same version was presented to the public at the inauguration concert of Herbert Blomstedt as Gewandhauskapellmeister in 1998.
