Notes & Reviews:
The United States Army Brass Band was created in the 1970's to perform for a wide variety of audiences and dignitaries. Since this time, the group has performed in a number of events and ceremonies. The repertoire for the ensemble includes over 500 selections from all eras and genres of classical music as well as a variety of popular music, interactive entertainment, and video. Death or Glory is just a sampling of this vast repertoire. The album includes tracks "March, Death or Glory," "Comedians' Galop," "The Lark in the Clear Air," "Sinfonietta for Brass Band," "Bring Him Home," "The Debutante," and "Capriccio Espagnol." Major Beth T.M. Steele leads the Band on this album, and each track was chosen for its distinct ability to portray what it means to be a Soldier in the United States of America.
