Notes & Reviews:

Here is the historical live performance by Blech (conductor) & von Karolyi (pianist) given at the Berlin Titania Palast, 1950. Blech, a leading German conductor since 1908 was pushed out of his post by the Nazis in 1937, due to his Jewish faith, & was forced to emigrate. Today, he is ranked amongst the greatest but unjustly forgotten interpreters of the 20th Century. Karolyi's masterful Chopin interpretation demonstrates, musicianship & virtuosity and is exemplary-- even today.
