Album Summary
Performer
Davide Cabassi (Piano)
Notes & Reviews:
Luigi Cherubini , the great Italian-French composer, who spent most of his life in Paris, was the first musician to receive the highest and most prestigious honors of France: he was made Commandeur de la Légion d'honneur. Il Capriccio, written in 1789, is a true arduous music folly on the piano, a masterpiece which is quite rarely performed. Beethoven regarded Cherubini as the greatest of his contemporaries. An absolutely outstanding release featuring Concerto artist Davide Cabassi who performs once again on his piano with great intensity.
