Terence Allbright (Piano)
Stephen Roberts (Horn)
Notes & Reviews:
This release is a double CD featuring Tennyson's poems. Maud Song Cycle has music by Somervell and readings by Gabriel Woolf. A booklet with printed poems is included. As an extended monologue, something Tennyson called A Monodrama, it lends itself to being read aloud, and this Tennyson, notoriously, did very often, and that meant a good hour and a half, with no escape.
