Notes & Reviews:

Ferras (1933-82) was one of the greatest violinist's alongside Thibaud, Francescatti, and Neveu. He heavily influenced the Franco-Belgian violin school - an art of playing the violin with sensuality, elegance and a refined sound quality. During the late 60's at the pinnacle of his career he began battling depression and alcoholism, gradually withdrawing from public performance. In '82 Ferras returned to the stage, but 3 weeks after his final concert took his life at age 49.
