Notes & Reviews:

Our new CD is featuring a very rare and absolutely gorgeous recording of Dvorak's Sinfonia dal Nuovo Mondo realised by Herbert von Karajan during 1958. The performance is characterized by exceptional strength and evocative power which haven't been overtaken in Karajan's next recordings. This incredible interpretation at the Head of the Berliner Philharmoniker has never been presented as a single CD. For certain it appears to be one of those works, which played a part in creating Karajan's myth during the second half of the 20th century. The CD is completed by Dvorak's 5 brilliant Danze Slave which Karajan recorded always at the head of the Berliner Philharmoniker during 1959.
