Since their formation in 1983, Die Kastelruther Spatzen from South Tyrol have won 13 Echo Awards and sold over 15 million records. With their 2011 studio album Hand Auf's Herz, they add another successful record to their discography (the album entered the Top Ten in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and offer 16 new tracks featuring their well-known mixture of folksy music and schlager. While most songs deal with ideal world scenarios, love, and friendship ("Leben," "Die Leute von Nebenan," the title track), the album also includes a number of more serious tracks such as "Hochmut Kommt vor dem Fall," where the mostly spoken lyrics tell the story of a hunter whose pride leads to his downfall. ~ Christian Genzel
