Pianist Charles Szczepanek was born in Chicago, Illinois. Originally a math whiz, he changed to music at age 14 after hearing Vladimir Feltsman perform Rachmaninoff. In addition to Liszt, Mr. Szczepanek offers world premiere recordings of three works by Paul Aurandt.
