This CD has been produced to facilitate a deeper experience of the mystery of Easter. The chants of Mandy Thursday and Good Friday as well as the Easter Jubilation are sung. David Ianni accompanies four Litanies with his own compositions.

The last four tracks (including two litanies, the Te Deum, and the antiphon, 'Ubi Caritas') move to a different sonic world, since the monks are accompanied by the piano improvisations of David Ianni in a rather minimalist style (many arpeggios and impressionist harmonies) with even an occasional modulation. I will leave it to the reader whether this is a good idea; it is very well done.
